Mantix Education Consortium
The Mantix Education Consortium has been established to provide the full range of skills and experience that major education projects require to design, procure and implement ICT systems that enrich learning, teaching and leadership.
We aim to provide a complete end-to-end service for our customers, with the ability to offer consultancy teams comprising specialists in the following areas:
- Educational vision setting
- Learning and development strategy
- Organisational development
- ICT policy support to government and agencies
- Innovative curriculum modelling & design
- School leadership and ICT
- E-learning and blended learning implementation
- ICT systems design and specification
- ICT managed service design and specification
- ICT procurement and contract management
- ICT technical implementation management
- Project and programme management
- Change management and transition support
With strong roots in both the learning/teaching community and technical/project management arena we recognise that it is the careful blending of these complementary skill sets that gives an ICT project the potential to be truly transformational.
At the heart of our approach is the principle that technology alone cannot deliver improvements in educational outcomes: it is the people and processes, supported by effective tools and infrastructure that makes the difference. We therefore begin our projects by understanding our customer's vision for learning and then exploring the role of technology in delivering or, where appropriate, surpassing this. As the system design develops and moves forward to the procurement and implementation phases, we retain the involvement of our educational consultants to ensure that the project remains true to the core principles set out in the vision.
We also recognise that major ICT investments usually accompany wider changes in teaching, learning and management approaches. These broad-ranging changes can be difficult and unsettling for staff and students and, as such, change programmes require careful management to remain on track and achieve the commitment of all involved. Our consortium brings together a rich body of experience in change management and can support educational establishments to get both the technology and the people ready to deliver change.
